Before you start
- A Glitz company account.
- A Wix site with the Wix Stores app added and published.
- Access to your Wix account settings, where API keys are created.
- Your site's public address, for example https://www.yourcompany.com.
Steps
- 1
Generate an API key
In your Wix account settings open API Keys and generate a new key. Give it read access to Wix Stores and to Wix eCommerce orders, and add this site to the sites it can use. Copy the key.
- 2
Find your site ID
Open your site's dashboard in Wix. The site ID is the long id in the browser address after /dashboard/. It looks like 1a2b3c4d-1234-5678-9abc-1a2b3c4d5e6f.
- 3
Connect in Glitz
In Glitz go to Dashboard, Connect your store, Wix. Enter the API key, the site ID and your public store address, then select Connect and import products. Glitz needs the address because Wix does not report it.
- 4
Set your commission
Set the commission for your products in Glitz and choose which influencers can promote them.
What syncs
- Visible products: name, description, price, images, variants and stock.
- Glitz checks your store every six hours. Press Sync now on the Connect your store page to pull product changes straight away.
- A product you hide or delete in Wix is hidden on Glitz.
What stays yours in Glitz
- The commission you pay influencers on each product. New products arrive at 0%, so set your rate before influencers start promoting them.
- Which influencers can promote each product.
- The product category on Glitz. It is taken from your store on the first import, and after that you change it in Glitz.
- Products you hide in Glitz stay hidden, even if they are live in your store.
If you disconnect, your products are hidden on Glitz. Nothing is deleted. Connect the same store again and they come back with their commission and influencers in place.
How sales are credited to influencers
Shoppers who come through an influencer's link buy on Glitz. The influencer's code travels with the order, so the sale is credited to them automatically.
The order appears in your Glitz dashboard under Orders. It is not created in your store. You ship it and add the tracking number in Glitz.
You are paid your share after the 30-day refund window. The influencer's commission is held for the same 30 days.
If something goes wrong
- “That site ID does not look right”
- Copy the long id from your Wix dashboard address, not the site name or the public address.
- “Wix rejected the API key”
- Check that the key has Wix Stores read permission and that this site is in the key's list of sites. Edit the key in Wix, or create a new one.
- “Add the Wix Stores app to this site before connecting it”
- Glitz reads products from Wix Stores. Add Wix Stores to the site, then connect again.
- “We could not open a product page on your store”
- Your catalogue connected, but your product pages did not open at the address you gave. Publish the site and check the address. Shoppers can still buy on Glitz.
Questions
Where do shoppers pay?
On Glitz. Payments are processed by Stripe and you are paid your share after the 30-day refund window.
Who ships the order?
You do. The order appears in your Glitz dashboard under Orders, where you add the tracking number.
What about orders placed directly on my own store?
Orders that include your synced products are read back into Glitz for your records. They are credited to an influencer only if your checkout passes the influencer's code onto the order. That takes a small change on your store. Ask us and we set it up with you.
