Before you start
- A Glitz company account.
- Your store's .myshopify.com address. You can find it in your Shopify admin under Settings, Domains.
- Permission to install apps on the store. The store owner always has it.
Steps

Open Connect your store
Sign in to Glitz and go to Dashboard, Connect your store. The Shopify tab is open first.

Enter your Shopify address
Select Connect Shopify and enter your .myshopify.com address. You can type only the first part and Glitz adds .myshopify.com.

Approve the app in Shopify
Shopify shows the access Glitz asks for: read your products and inventory, read and create orders and draft orders, and read fulfilments. Install the app to approve it.

Check your products
Shopify returns you to your Glitz dashboard and your products start importing. Press Sync now if you want to run it again.

Set your commission
Set the commission for your products in Glitz and choose which influencers can promote them.
What syncs
- Product name, description, price, images, variants and stock.
- Changes you make in Shopify reach Glitz as they happen. Glitz also checks once a night, and Sync now runs a full import.
- A product you set to draft or archive in Shopify, or delete, is hidden on Glitz.
What stays yours in Glitz
- The commission you pay influencers on each product. New products arrive at 0%, so set your rate before influencers start promoting them.
- Which influencers can promote each product.
- The product category on Glitz. It is taken from your store on the first import, and after that you change it in Glitz.
- Products you hide in Glitz stay hidden, even if they are live in your store.
If you disconnect, your products are hidden on Glitz. Nothing is deleted. Connect the same store again and they come back with their commission and influencers in place.
How sales are credited to influencers
When a shopper presses Buy Now on Glitz, they are sent to your Shopify checkout with the item already in the cart. The influencer's code is attached to the cart as an order attribute named glitz_ref.
When Shopify creates the order, it tells Glitz, and Glitz credits the sale to that influencer. The money from the sale is paid to you by Shopify, like any other order.
The commission is held for 30 days against refunds, then paid to the influencer. A refund you issue in Shopify cancels or reverses it. Commissions you owe are listed on your monthly Glitz statement.
If something goes wrong
- “Failed to start Shopify connection”
- Check that you entered the .myshopify.com address, not your custom domain. This also appears when the store is connected to another Glitz account, or when your account already has a different Shopify store connected. Disconnect the other connection first.
- “Disconnect your other store first, then connect this store”
- A Glitz company connects one Shopify store at a time. Disconnect the current one on the Connect your store page, then connect the new one.
- “Invalid or expired state token”
- The approval step has to finish within ten minutes. Go back to Connect your store and start again.
Questions
Where do shoppers pay?
On your Shopify checkout. Glitz sends the shopper there with the item in the cart, and your store takes the payment and fulfils the order.
Can I connect more than one Shopify store?
One at a time per Glitz company. You can connect stores on other platforms alongside it.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
Uninstalling the app in Shopify works like disconnecting in Glitz. Your products are hidden on Glitz, and they come back if you connect the same store again.
Can I edit a product in Glitz?
Name, price, images and stock come from Shopify, so change them there. Commission and who can promote a product are set in Glitz.
